The alternative to synthetic fabrics

Did you know that 95% of mattress covers are made entirely from synthetic fabrics? Polyester, acrylic, and nylon are the most commonly used materials for this purpose. Unfortunately, there are numerous drawbacks associated with this synthetic choice, particularly for your health.

Take polyester, for example, a material that is water-resistant. While this can be convenient in certain situations, it also comes with downsides. Because of its water resistance, the cover cannot breathe, resulting in a stifling sleep environment.

It's similar to sleeping on a woven plastic tarp, which is far from ideal for a good night's rest. At Tuur®, we don't compromise on quality, which is why we choose organic cotton as the foundation for our products.

Why organic cotton?

Organic cotton is naturally breathable, moisture-regulating, and has a wonderfully soft feel. By choosing 100% organic cotton in our Tuur® products, we ensure that your mattress cover is free from pesticides and other harmful substances. This means that your sleep is not only comfortable but also healthier for you and the environment.

Organic cotton is the primary material for our mattress covers. We also add natural viscose (70% organic cotton and 30% natural viscose). This contributes to the product's durability as well as its stretchability and comfort, allowing you to enjoy a mattress designed with care—for you and the environment.

Sustainable production in portugal

We are proud to say that our raw materials meet strict ecological standards, and the organic cotton is grown and produced ethically and environmentally friendly.

Oeko-Tex Certificate for peace of mind

At Tuur®, we hold the Oeko-Tex certificate. This certification confirms our commitment to producing sustainable and high-quality products. It shows that our raw materials meet the highest standards.

We strive for the highest standards in sleep comfort, quality, and sustainability, and organic cotton plays a crucial role in this. We hope that, like us, you appreciate the benefits of this conscious choice and that you enjoy a good night's sleep on a mattress that guarantees quality and sustainability.
