Comparing Tuur® toppers: which topper should you choose?

Which topper should you choose? It's a fair question, because not every topper suits every sleeper. At Tuur®, you always choose a topper made from natural materials: every topper in our range is made from 100% natural latex, with no synthetic additives or harmful substances.

On this page, you can compare the Tuur® Original Topper and the Tuur® Mono Topper side by side, so you can quickly see which model best suits your sleeping preference, your body and your budget.

Latex or cold foam topper: why Tuur® always chooses natural latex

When searching for a topper, you quickly come across the question: latex or cold foam topper? Both materials have their properties, but at Tuur® we consciously choose natural latex. And for good reasons.

A cold foam or latex topper is often mentioned in the same breath, but there are important differences. Cold foam is a synthetic material: it offers good support, but breathes less well and has a higher environmental impact. Natural latex, on the other hand, is a renewable raw material derived from the rubber tree, naturally ventilating, anti-allergenic and antibacterial.

At Tuur®, we exclusively use toppers made from natural materials. No synthetic foams, no chemical additives. Just pure natural latex, certified by OEKO-TEX®, euroLATEX and eco-INSTITUT.

Still unsure between the Original Topper and the Mono Topper? Here's a simple guide:

Choose the Tuur® Original Topper if you're looking for maximum ergonomic support. With 7 comfort zones, massage knobs and a height of 8cm, this is the most complete topper made from natural materials in our range. Ideal if your mattress feels too firm or if you suffer from back or shoulder complaints.

Choose the Tuur® Mono Topper if you want to make your mattress softer with a thin, budget-friendly topper. With a height of 4cm and a uniform natural latex core, this topper adds just that extra layer of comfort without completely changing your sleep setup.

Frequently asked questions about toppers

The ideal thickness depends on how much comfort improvement you are looking for and your sleeping position.

• 4 cm: subtle improvement for a slightly too firm mattress
• 8 cm: noticeable comfort improvement, more pressure relief
• Side sleepers with broad shoulders -> 8 cm | Back sleepers -> 4-6 cm usually sufficient

In most cases yes, but a topper cannot fix a sagging or structurally poor mattress.

• ✓ Structurally sound mattress that feels slightly too firm -> topper works perfectly
• ✗ Sagging mattress -> topper follows the indentations, no improvement
• Use a fitted sheet to keep the topper in place

Latex wins on point elasticity and lifespan; cold foam ventilates slightly better and is lighter in weight.

• Latex: point elastic, 8-10 years, ideal for pressure points
• Cold foam: slightly better ventilation, 6-8 years, lighter
• At Tuur® we choose latex: higher quality, lasts longer and 100% sustainable material
